Your 'organic' quilting is looking really good! I agree with Debbie, what is it they say... 'a finished quilt is better than a perfect unfinished quilt' (and I have only just realised the 'H' significance!) Loving your scrappy vortex too, you have been busy! But yes, when I was clearing out for the move (that didn't happen), I closed many doors. But I do find myself peeking into new doors and then having a long talk with myself. But I am very glad I followed your scrap vortex adventure.Sally Trudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11412466214275694996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280788527989249009.post-16975364953855834842015-07-16T01:12:49.336+12:002015-07-16T01:12:49.336+12:00Excellent share -yes, closing doors concept is a g...Excellent share -yes, closing doors concept is a good one. We are enticed to sample everywhere we go but it is more challenging to stay true to what we really love. Keeping eyes and minds open is healthy but trying to do too much is not.

Lovely succulents, BTW.Quiltdivajuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15593385265961892847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280788527989249009.post-80366265344655398562015-07-16T00:45:14.678+12:002015-07-16T00:45:14.678+12:00Good for you! Removing those thing/closing the doors really helped my focus and I refuse to feel guilty about not joining everything that comes along.
Your quilting looks good to me....forget the imperfections. A finished quilt is a wonder to behold and share. For me, it would be scrapbooking. I did it for years and now I have no desire to continue; but (always a but, right??) I have tons of "STUFF" for it. I guess I could donate it....it is weighing on my mind. thanks for the peek into that idea...I love your scrap vortex--I am collecting (hahaha) scraps to make myself one after I finish Fi's quilt.
Hugs, JulieroseJulierosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079686021190332890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280788527989249009.post-60767618672230677072015-07-15T19:48:58.771+12:002015-07-15T19:48:58.771+12:00I get your closing door theory, it helps to clear ...I get your closing door theory, it helps to clear the mind. I regularly need to take a step back from all that I try and commit to. I've found that trying to do too many things detracts from the enjoyment of what you really want to do.
Like how your scrap vortex is coming along. I'm torn as to whether I want to make one as I struggle with scrappy quilts and I know I'd be trying to organise the fabrics too much.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16302065755663279757noreply@blogger.com
