Gypsy Wife update

After posting the Nurses Cross in my Friday post
I got a good start on section 6, the photo
below is only a small part of this section but I have the bottom strips
in place and can get a better idea of how
the quilt will look. I'll post the full section when I have
it sewn together.

Excuse the design wall full of thread bits and strips
pinned on there!

Partial seams crop up here and there, one is here on the right
waiting for the next row to go in.
Looking at the photo now I see that I still have one seam not sewn - must
have been distracted and forgotten. Back to the machine.

  4. Definitely a winner of a quilt in the making. I don't mind bits of thread on a design wall...but it does seem to be missing a kitten.

  12. My "orphan block" pile was getting huge so with your inspiration via your gypsy wife quilt along I began to piece the orphans with strips from my stash. Alas, I have my own version of my own gypsy, although I am eager to try the gypsy wife pattern. thank you for the inspiration and your suggestions on quilting these pieced pieces.

  13. Oh I love all the rich color and texture going on here. Beautiful. Now I'm off to back track a little at older posts as I'm woefully behind in blog related things this whole summer.
