Speaking of food I tried a new recipe this afternoon
from a book by one of our New Zealand cooks

Cheesy Courgette and Relish Muffins
absolutely delicious, and very moreish!!!
Who can't love Sweet Peas
grown in our garden, cream with lavender edges and a perfume to
die for!! Two little pottery birds keeping guard on the sweet peas.
Not forgetting a quilty picture, I came across my stars
begun early this year as part of RSC 2016 and forgotten in a drawer.
I fell in love with them all over again and they'll be continued on
in RSC 2017.
5.45pm is a bit on the late side for photographing on my
design wall, in my tiny studio, the light is not great in here at this time.
All for now, hope you all have a great weekend and I'll
be back next week, probably have a break after that over Christmas and
back in the New Year. Lots of fabric sorting and working on my
blog to be done.

I went to Windross restaurant a couple of years back for a family celebration, it's not far from where my husband grew up.Good food from memory. Lovely stars growing for you. Happy weekend to you also.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful stars! Such terrific fabric. Lovely photos- I live near Lake Erie in Buffalo, NY and although it is very cold right now, the Lake is always beautiful. Your view is fantastic.

I have never grown Sweet Peas. I'll have to look for them next year. Love your stars!! Have fun sorting your stash. That is one of my favorite things to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting for that restaurant - I do love beach scenes. My grandfather had sweet peas growing all along the fence that surrounded his back yard. The scent was divine!

ReplyDeleteA moment of nostalgia for me: the Windross looks very like the house I grew up in, in Auckland (wooden bungalow, verandah etc), though a bit prettier. It looks like a wonderful spot. I love your stars - nice to see you are returning to them.

Looks like you had a lovely evening out. I could just smell those sweet peas looking at the photo. It's been cold here, so the idea of flowers is very warming. Beautiful star blocks. Looking forward to seeing more of those in RSC17.
ReplyDeleteI live in California, have way between LA and SF and it likes this year around. Makes you never want to leave. We have the Eucalyptus trees all around like Australia. Pismo Beach, CA.
