Slight hold up in the stitching department

In fact only three more seams have been stitched on the little piece I had begun when I last posted.

Progress so far - reason for barely any progress in a photo shortly and if your'e a little squeamish or not a fan of the colour of The Hulk you may want to pass!

This is the good bit

and I seem to have more strips left now than I had before I  began this piece

yes, a very untidy pile but was sorted, with help, and now all nicely hanging on the back of my sewing room door.

After working with a heap of bright colour I had a walk around the garden, a favourite camellia

and the last bloom on my Perle d'Or rose

I then decided to paint my nails and not just a nice pale pink but something a little more daring, and all ready to finish up the strip sewing and make a start on a new quilt using Allegory fabrics by Anna Maria
from  https://www.thesecleverhands.com.au

good thing that a couple of days later I removed the colour!  Thursday last week I had a ride in an ambulance -  siren going and red light flashing - the works! Cardiac issues but only in emergency a few hours, awaiting next instalment any day. One problem cropped up when the nurse had to place a lure in the back of my hand, I have peculiar veins, very small and when anyone tries to stick a needle in the vein rolls away - not kidding here, they're really strange. Anyway the needle went in, vein rolled away then back and unfortunately the needle went straight through - a blown vein! The back of my had just filled up with blood under the skin - quick action from two nurses saved the day -more or less.  so, no more sewing and this is being typed with my right hand, ever, ever so slowly. and if I do forget and use my left hand the colour intensifies gloriously!!!This is the result of the mishap, I've toned the colour down so it doesn't look too bad!

Apologies to all for being remiss in reading posts, or when I do read them not commenting and I hope to be in a better position in a week to try and get back to some semblance of normal with my blogging!!

Take care and enjoy your quilting
