Kaleidoscope of Butterflies - June

More basic kaleidoscopes paired up and sewn
and  more cut ready for sewing.
At this stage I have no idea how big a quilt I might make,
the finished blocks will be 8"so I certainly need 8 blocks across,
could go 8 down and go for a simple square - we'll see.

So above a few more matched and sewn

with more cut ready to sew tomorrow.

I have one more small block to piece tomorrow for Gypsy Wife and
Section 5 will then be complete, hopefully posted tomorrow or Friday.

It's going to be a busy few days because I have nine blocks underway for
the Gwennie Inspired Medallion - button on sidebar - and the first link-up
is on the 6th.

For now I'm linking up with other Kaleidoscope fans and  at
 Fret Not Yourself

It looks great so far! I really like the colours in the blocks you have just cut -- those wonderful Kaffe mint greens and hot pinks.

I am not going to start a kaleidoscope regardless of how enticing you make it!

This simple pairing-weing-cutting is such a fun stage of Kaleidoscope. They look lovely! Thanks for linking up.

Looking good, with lots of colour! You've got me wondering now... what you are going to use as your joining triangles:)

These blocks look fabulous, love all the bright colours, the Kaffes are playing together nicely with the batiks.

Beautiful pairings of fabrics in these; I have never attempted kaleidoscope blocks. i do love how they move in and out when put together....(have you seen Cathy's ( @ "sane crazy and crumby quilting") butterfly k's??? I do have an old pattern in a book for paper pieced ones--I would try that i think....hugs, Julierose

Fun blocks! More colour. I am quilting a lovely bright Kaffe Fassett quilt for one of my customers, there are some 'blank' quilting areas for me to play. happy sewing to you.

Wow, I love those kaleidoscope blocks, very lively. I've never tried that block before, it looks great in Kaffe Fassett prints!

Great blocks Maureen, I love the way you put your colours and prints together. The really dark print with purple 'rectangles' reminds me of butterfly wings!

I love what you've done so far with luscious fabrics and colors.

Hi Janie - sorry I can't get in touch to thank you, seems to be a regular with Google+ that commenters show as no reply-comments so do way to get in touch.

Especially like the top center block. I think it's the colors.
