Pink for RSC 2016

The brief from Angela this month was pink - think watermelon!
There was no true watermelon coloured fabric in my collection so I've
gone for the nearest fabric I could find, however, in the spirit of "watermelon"
I do have quite a decent amount of this fruit on the green fabric below.

This is another one of my long ago purchases, I knew
it would fill a gap somewhere!
I love to see a cut watermelon, delicious colours and the green
rind but I don't eat them, everyone I know just can't understand
that I'm a fan of the colour but not the fruit itself.

I'm finding my quilting time is seriously eroded
due to my furry friend below, presently she has to stay indoors
but I hope that after a spot of surgery at the vet clinic and
time spent recovering she will be able to venture into the big outdoors.

It's easy to forget how quickly kitties grow, here she
is sitting on the top level of her cat scratch pole.

Time for me now to try and do some catch up quilting whilst
everything is quiet.
Linking up with more watermelon pinks
with Angela and other "pinkies"

Happy 4th July!

I think she read the book title behind her and is striving to reach the top.Hope she does get back to 100% soon. Love the little pink house.

I'm the same as you, love the colors of watermelon but don't eat it.

This month's house is wonderful - how cool that you had watermelons on the vine as one of your fabrics! I have a tuxedo cat, too - although mine is more of a grand dame - she's 11 years old now.

Your kittie is the best!
It is hot, hot, hot here in Mid america-definitely watermelon season but you in New Zealand-I don't know.....you just crossed the line into winter! Love your block and it is watermelon.

Two beauties - the house and the kitty!

That House block might just be my favorite of all the ones you've made. That watermelon print is SEW cute with those adorable little watermelon colored flowers!

You definitely convey watermelon with your house. And yes, Tallulah has clearly aged since those ancient times of two months ago when you first introduced her to us.

I keep thinking pink and was so surprised to see your green melons, perfect use for them. Your kitty looks like my Popper whom I lost last year. Most black and whites seem to have white noses, unlike your sweetie and mine. Have fun this week! Stay sane if you can.

Another lovely house! Good to be able to make these from your stash, very satisfying yes?

Your watermelon fabric is a hoot and goes perfectly with the pink flowers! They made a great house together!
