A large package was delivered during the week - two quilts, long arm quilted by Leeanne at quiltmekiwi.blogspot.com they need binding now, hopefully next week so just little taste of colour from front and backing.
First up is Mollies' quilt - quilting design Blooming Feathers - she was an Irish Setter and they are beautifully feathered, below is the back and not a brightly coloured choice from me, the colour on the quilt top was my focus.
Second quilt was Tussie Mussie with a quilting design New Growth C, because of the rich colour the quilting design is not quite so easy to see
Fabrics covered my cutting table and I needed to corral the pieces I was definitely going to use, hit on the idea of a trug used for cut flowers from the garden - this has worked perfectly
Two designs I would love to use, the first will work ok - this is Sunrise, I fell for Sunset but not a good choice I think.
and here's Sunset
both are AnnaMaria fabrics.
To close, two beauties presently flowering in the garden
Rugosa Single with a heavenly scent
and a peachy day lily
and that's it for me at the moment.
I hope folks suffering the horrific damage from Helene are receiving any help available, from the news coverage here in NZ it looks like it's going to be truly long and hard road for them all.

Those are 2 of my favorites of your quilts. It will be fun to see them again after binding.
Just gorgeous finishes- binding will be fun and final! Beautiful flowers, just straggly fall ones here. I have been following the Carolina Helen damage and it is heartbreaking. My sister was on the edge and lost power, cell and trees but was not flooded. I would love to be able to get a bunch of tops done so I could send them down. Lo and Behold Stitchery from NC store is taking them. Great as always to see your work.
Lovely to see your quilt progress. Leanne does such beautiful work.
Really lovely quilting on your pieces. We are in the "falling leaves" stage here with autumn coming on...cold this morning --only 45 degrees --"Winter is a'comin in.." for sure ...
I am at that "stuck" stage with my assemblage--it involves layering which is always hard for me...nothing seems to work --sooo time to give it a rest...
Hugs, Julierose
Beautiful quilting on both, I especially like the leafy design on Tussie Mussie, nice to have a more open print on the backs so the quilting can be highlighted. With your pretty backing fabrics it's like having two quilts in one.
Always a pleasure working with you. I look forward to see what binding you choose.
Your quilts are lovely and they quilting design complements them. Good luck with your geese.
Two favourites, looking so pretty with the quilting texture. Great progress with the seven seas, the flying geese will be super feature.
So exciting! And the quilting is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your rose and lily. We have pumpkins and squash for color now.
