Before I write more here I would like to say thank you to all for your kind comments on my last post following my fall, also I offer my apologies for not responding to any of them. I was told there was a problem with blogger and comment reply. To my regular commenters I do have your addresses, and could have found others on their profile details, I didn't follow through for reasons mentioned here in this post.
This is where I have spent quite a lot of time over the past two months
on my bench underneath the Japanese Maple or wandering around the garden seeing all the colours of Summer in the blooms and visiting my old garden seat which I used for 25 years, lichen covered now, and wood falling apart with a rose climbing through.
The damage to my shoulder in the fall is severe, torn tendons, fluid filled shoulder, bursitis and synovitis, I have constant pain and severely limited movement in my left arm now. Presently the only option is constant pain meds and I can take on two simple PT exercises to try and help any movement. All this plus existing issues which I deal with resulted my reaching a very low point mentally. As you can see I can now slowly, and in packages of a couple of minutes at one time, use the computer with my right hand and occasionally my left hand providing that my arm is resting on a solid base here and there, this is definitely helping me feel that there is "light at the end of the tunnel". even though it has taken the best part of two hours to write this post.
The colour in the garden has been helping

Hi Maureen, glad to hear from you, and sorry to hear of your bad news. Your garden and flowers are glorious! I've ticked the "Notify me" box, so shall wait and see if this posts and what happens thereafter. Cape Town is also basking in bright hot sunshine this end of December...I slightly miss the Welsh cold at this time of year. Best wishes for a full recovery.
It posted! And I got it in my email.
The New Year will follow Christmas as it always does, regardless of health or sorrow, happiness or sunshine. You have achieved a HUGE step in posting this , a little at a time, Greetings from us down here,XXXX
Mine posted too, I didn't ask for a follow up.
So sorry to hear about your fall, Maureen and your pain issues--no wonder you haven't blogged!! Just rest and try to relax , We totally understand. Wishing you good news and relief from pain hugs, Julierose
So good to hear a little update, but so sorry your pain issues persist Maureen. Thinking of you, (no need to reply) x
Firstly, no need to reply. Please save your energy for healing. Those flowers are such a welcome sight as we are in "khaki" dull season here. As to Blogger and no-reply, it seems they made some sort of universal change that has affected everyone. I can only reply to those for whom I have saved an email address which makes me sad I must ignore the others and seem as if I don't care. NO worries about not reading others' blogs - take care of YOU!!
Oh, Maureen, so sad that you are suffering more physical trauma, as if you haven't had enough already. I don't blog, so I can't help with the comments problem, but I know it is widespread and Google/Blogger has apparently never offered any suggestion to solve it. Please don't worry about replying. Happy New Year, may your health improve, evenly if only slowly.

Maureen, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. I do hope you feel better soon. I hope you rest and relax and that 2025 will be a better year for you. No need to reply. Thinking of you!
The injury to your shoulder sounds awful. I hope there will be some fix to get back use of your arm.
You have such a beautiful variety of blooms in your gardens.
For the comments: I use Outlook for my email and what I found out there is, even though every comment comes in as no reply, I can click on reply and for anyone whose email is in my address book, their name and email address jumps into the address line of the email and I can reply as usual. There were a few that I had to go to their profile and see if they had their email enabled, and if they did, I copied and pasted it into my address book. There are of course a few that are truly no reply so we can never reply to them.
I'm terribly sorry to hear what you've been working through, physically and mentally. Poor health can take a toll on all aspects of one's life. Give yourself some grace for not posting. You have more important things to deal with than worry about blogging. I CAN tell you that Blogger made a change. I read about it in the discussion group. Supposedly, to protect us, everyone is now SHOWN as a no-reply-commenter, but as each comment comes into one's email inbox, their email address shows... unless they're anonymous. So, comments and reply capabilities should WORK as usual. They only APPEAR different. Take care of yourself!
