A few photos to show you here, only one relating to quilts!
Our favourite restaurant down by the beach
The Windross
sit under the trees by the parking area at the side of The Windross
after your meal cross over to the beach
and you have a perfect evening!
Speaking of food I tried a new recipe this afternoon
from a book by one of our New Zealand cooks
Chelsea Winter, this one is
Homemade Happiness and here we have
Cheesy Courgette and Relish Muffins
absolutely delicious, and very moreish!!!
Who can't love Sweet Peas
grown in our garden, cream with lavender edges and a perfume to
die for!! Two little pottery birds keeping guard on the sweet peas.
Not forgetting a quilty picture, I came across my stars
begun early this year as part of RSC 2016 and forgotten in a drawer.
I fell in love with them all over again and they'll be continued on
in RSC 2017.
5.45pm is a bit on the late side for photographing on my
design wall, in my tiny studio, the light is not great in here at this time.
All for now, hope you all have a great weekend and I'll
be back next week, probably have a break after that over Christmas and
back in the New Year. Lots of fabric sorting and working on my
blog to be done.

I went to Windross restaurant a couple of years back for a family celebration, it's not far from where my husband grew up.Good food from memory. Lovely stars growing for you. Happy weekend to you also.
Love your favorite things......eating out like that would be fun. Those stars are wonderful, and so glad you will get them done this next year.
Beautiful stars! Such terrific fabric. Lovely photos- I live near Lake Erie in Buffalo, NY and although it is very cold right now, the Lake is always beautiful. Your view is fantastic.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with those lovely floral stars. Those little ceramic birds are very sweet!
What a lush set of colours in your stars, with the blues and browns. With those fabrics, it's feeling very decadent to me!
And what a pretty setting for that restaurant. Looks wonderful!
I have never grown Sweet Peas. I'll have to look for them next year. Love your stars!! Have fun sorting your stash. That is one of my favorite things to do.
What a beautiful setting for that restaurant - I do love beach scenes. My grandfather had sweet peas growing all along the fence that surrounded his back yard. The scent was divine!
Your stars are beautiful. It looks so warm and sunny where you are, I'm here freezing!
Oh well, I'll soak up sun while I look at your photos.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes, thank you for pictures of spring. Sweet peas! Here in the U.S., we are counting on you as we head into the deep freeze.
I haven't visited for a while and it was so nice to pop in and see the sunshine on your blog after a day of rain here. Love your stars, they'll make a beautiful quilt.
A moment of nostalgia for me: the Windross looks very like the house I grew up in, in Auckland (wooden bungalow, verandah etc), though a bit prettier. It looks like a wonderful spot. I love your stars - nice to see you are returning to them.
Lovely views--those stars are so beautiful--no wonder you want to continue with them.
I have reading glasses now, but my 2nd eye is still "repairing" --trying to catch up on a few blogs...my eyes tire easily...well, come the New Year it should be really over...hugs, Julierose
Lovely photos - I love those Pohutakawa in bloom! Nice to see your stars again :-)
My grandmother loved sweet peas - there are still some growing all around the house she used to live in.
And I just want to hug those stars of yours - so beautiful!
Enjoy your summer!
Looks like you had a lovely evening out. I could just smell those sweet peas looking at the photo. It's been cold here, so the idea of flowers is very warming. Beautiful star blocks. Looking forward to seeing more of those in RSC17.
I live in California, have way between LA and SF and it likes this year around. Makes you never want to leave. We have the Eucalyptus trees all around like Australia. Pismo Beach, CA.
Very pretty quilt blocks & great way to "make flowers" too.
What a beautiful restaurant and the views! Your flowery stars are looking wonderful.
What a beautiful spot for a restaurant!! Bet your sweet peas smell divine - I left it to late to plant mine this year.
I plant old fashioned sweet peas every year and I too love the scent. Oh, glad you are back at the stars for next year's RSC - they are too good to waste!
I love the stars made for RSC
