Chinese Coins - a start

It's a start in that I have most of the fabrics together.

The solids and hand dyes are being played around with presently,
still need to make a final decision.

I'm cutting 8 and 1/2" across the width of the fabrics,
cutting these into half again, keeping one set as spares
and starching the remainder.

My new trolley is coming in handy here, this is not an Ikea, which I would
dearly have loved in their turquoise colourway, but given that they
seem to be around US$25 or so for quilters in the USA
and the price here is NZ$169 I went for a local made trolley, this is
a soft green and a lot cheaper!

Now I've had a break to write this it's back to the cutting
and starching.

Your fabric is super. Love the colours. What a stunning difference in price of trolleys. No wonder you went with the local version. A very pretty shade of green.

GORGEOUS gorgeous colors -- just glorious! Happy that you found a local trolley. I love mine (and just after mine were purchased, two other stores here in town started selling their own versions for prices quite similar to Ikea's).

Ditto....love your fabrics, and all the bright colors! And I love making a coin quilt. Have done several and never tire of the arrangements. This is going to be quite special I think:)

Lovely pulls of fabric for your Chinese Coins--are you going to do each stack in one colorway or mix them up scrappy style? Can't wait to see your arrangements...hugs, Julierose

Gorgeous fabrics and that trolley! You're having fun, thanks for sharing.
Now, where can I get a trolley? IKEA? That sounds like a good excuse for an outing.
