Autumn Colours

It's a real Autumn day here - but a very wet one.

Things have been slow this week for quilting, blame it on the weather and
not feeling too great after having my yearly 'flu shot. However,
I have my two houses in orange with black accents, and a lot
of other accents in my case as usual!

I've given them dark skies to match the day!

I've decided to bring my small quilting frame up into the
sitting room for the Winter, I can fit a 60" wide quilt
with two basted and ready to go a I should be quite snug
sitting there hand quilting again.

Oh I have another Autumn flower here, a new hibiscus

isn't she glorious!

I've added some bright colour to my little studio with a plastic carry bin, I love
turquoise but usually go for a little more subdued.

For more colour I'm linking up now with
and
Oh Scrap!
later today.

Happy Quilting

Maureen

And is the bright bin for scraps, or strips, or to carry in the firewood or morning tea? Love your houses.

Your first house looks like it is sitting in the middle of a forest! Great blocks!
And that hibiscus is absolutely gorgeous!

I'm not much of a brown/rust kind of quilter but I just love your houses. Especially the first one. The peak/triangle fabric is perfect. Makes me think of a cozy log cabin with a nice warm fire at the hearth.

I've never seen a house block I didn't like. Your new hibiscus is just the right color for the RSC this month!

I always love your bright colorful houses. Even with dark skies, they have a cheering look.
That hibiscus looks like it jumped right out of a Kaffe print!

I love your little houses. I always enjoy seeing them linked up with Oh Scrap. I need to get out my own Kaffe fabric out more often.

Houses are terrific! Our alleged spring dumped over 2" of snow last night. Thankfully, it rained last night and it all melted. The poor daffodils might be toast after all this frigid weather. Love all your house blocks.

Autumn definitely brings a different rhythm, doesn't it? Your brown houses are perfect for the time of your year.

Pretty flower. It seems so strange to be thinking you are going into winter as we gear up for summer. Your house blocks are lovely. Are they 12 inches finished?
