Waiting In The Wings

Moving along

Moving along but at a pretty slow pace unfortunately.
Plagued again with health issues leading to
an urgent cardiac appointment last week, rheumatology this coming
Saturday and the icing on the cake will be a visit
to the Orthopaedic Spinal clinic,
I'm also waiting now for a CT Cardiac Angiography.

Due to the above my Anna Maria Horner quilt has
not progressed as I would like but with
chain piecing the blocks do go together easily.
The two bottom blocks are stitched and then sewn to the bottom
of the 10" finished square then the three on the left are stitched.
There are two 5" finished blocks and a four patch.
These change block by block

you can see here below how the order of squares and four patch are moved around.

So, I have two rows of blocks stitched and the bottom two
just placed on the wall ready for stitching, gives
shows pretty well why the quilt is named Rainbow Blur.

I'm trying to be better organised with planning my quilting projects
and tomorrow is allocated to putting together the backing
for Frog Frenzy and sending it off for quilting and hopefully finishing
up the third row of Rainbow Blur.

We had a massive storm here overnight, lots of damage in both Islands
and Auckland (where I am) was really badly hit, I think I managed to sleep
for around only 4 hours! We knew we were into Autumn but
surely not yet into Winter, temperatures have fallen dramatically.

Leaves are covering the lawn, but look at the colors

and also spotted this morning

a disorientated Mrs Tiggywinkle, I fear the poor
little thing may be unwell given that it's out and about during the day.

A few new Kaffe Collective fabrics to finish up the post

I love the poppies!

An early bed time is on the cards for me, hoping to
catch up on sleep.

Enjoy the rest of the week and happy quilting.

Maureen

Yet again....more medical issues? I was thinking you were mending nicely. So instead, I am sending prayers on wings for your health and healing. Add to the mix it is all quite frightening. So rest if needed and sew when you can. You latest project looks fun but a little different for assembly I think:) Never fear it will still be on the wadll for you when you are better.

Oh brother, more medical stuff- you need a break. I am doing cardio rehab and it is slow progress but I keep showing up. Thanks for all the colors of fabrics today. It is supposed to be spring here, but the snow keeps showing up. The crocuses don't care, they are blooming.

So sorry about all your medical issues. These bodies of ours!!! Gotta love 'em, but sometimes you just gotta grip about them (I, myself, am in a griping mode today, lol.) Forgive my innocence, but what kind of little critter is that? Sue is cute.

Hi Maureen! Good to hear from you. God bless you, health issues and storms, I'm sorry to hear that.
I hope you get better and rested soon.
The same for Mrs. Tiggywinkle.

I wonder if your cardiac CT scan will be similar to mine? A lot easier than the stress test. lie on what I call the concrete slab and close your eyes. Those Kaffee fabrics will brighten your day, after that severe storm . Really cold down here, fires have been lit, on Tuesday one went all day. I hope all the appts. go as planned and no last minute delays.XXX

Continued prayers for your health, and I hphoall your tests go well for you. Lovely Anna Maria Horner quilt. The block is nice and easy. Can see why you used it - shows off the fabrics beautifully. We didn't get the severe stormy weather in Hawkes Bay, but very cold and wet and lots of thunderstorms.
Hugs to you.

I'm so sorry that you are still struggling with your health and hope all these appointments result in some improvements for you. The AMH quilt may be progressing slowly but what you have done looks beautiful.

I hope you are on the mend and feeling better. What nice placements in the new quilt...and I have been resisting the new Kaffe fabric...but you are not making it easy! I also had to look up that Mrs. Tinglewinkle was a hedgehog.
