I've reverted for this post to Legacy, I cannot find a solution
to lose the double line spacing!!
As we will have to change regardless next month I need
to try and work out a solution, if possible.
I now have the third border on my Medallion quilt
Kaffe Collective fabrics used again.
I cropped the photo because this quilt top
is on my movable design wall
(needs a new cover and is pretty tatty looking) which leans up against my
permanently fixed wall, difficult to achieve a tidy shot,
also a wrist brace doesn't help much.
I've changed the measurements of the border again from the
one in the original pattern, this latest one finishes at 3".
Measuring 36 and 1/2" at the moment.
I like this little piece just as it is and now I'm not sure about
adding the next two pieced and one plain border, any thoughts??

Oooh I just love that 3rd border!! It really adds a whole lot to the piece.
About another border--i don't know....it looks pretty good as is I think...

Your quilt is coming along beautifully, Maureen. Don’t know how you’re managing with your wrist brace, must make cutting fabric and Ewing extremely iffiult. Love the pattern and colour of your quilt so far. Looking forward to seeing if you stick or twist!
I love that yellow Kaffe fabric! I hoarded it for a while, but I think even the scraps are gone now. Sigh. This piece doesn't need any more borders, but of course it can handle more, too! That's the nature of these bold, beautiful designs: one can be just enough, and 15 can be not enough :)
Love your new latest project....as always you have the eye for colors. Hope the wrist is improving or you are adapting. I just keep send messages about the new blogger being poor version of what we have. The developers ignore me :)
The piece is pretty just as it is, but what if adding more borders would make it even better. Sometimes small is the way to go because adding borders just "waters it down" but I bet this one will look great with at least one more border.
Perfect size for the wall as is — maybe add one more and then reassess. Love the colors!

It looks lovely. I don't know what the additional borders are so can't say now if it would look better or not. However, what are you going to do when you finish this? Does it matter how quickly you progress? I can usually find another quilt to use the pieces and borders I discard from a previous quilt. ;-)

I know the new interface can be frustrating to use! Sometimes I just walk away and then start over, I hope you find the answers soon!

Love the addition of the latest sunny looking border! You have the best fabrics.:) I don't know about adding more borders or not, such a difficult decision So many times I think the quilt is probably fine as is, but then later when I go ahead and add another border, I'm thrilled with the final look!
How vibrant this piece is! Just looking at those gorgeous flowers makes me smile. Adding borders are always an issue for me.

Your quilt piecing and contrast look great.
The switch to the new software is frustrating at times, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems.
One thing I tried is typing in my specific question in the address bar, many times other people have had or are having the same problem.
I then would read any info that looked similar to my situation.
I didn't always find the answer but often I got an idea to experiment with and then went on to be able to clear issues up.
It's kind of trial and error.
