So this is the first post from me as a member of Fabriholics Anonymous and I will then join in the linky party with Rebecca who has posted an enormous list of things she had to do - just have a look - it's amazing.
Before getting down to the business end of this post I took a photo of some of my hydrangeas yesterday off the balcony
thought this pic would get me in the mood for the long list below starting off with piecing projects.
Work in Progress

- Flying Owls - strippy and flying geese with owl fabric for grandson
- Okavango - based on a Fox and Geese pattern
- Singing the Blues - 16 patch - probably finish a throw quilt size

- Fruit Salad - Wall quilt made fabric with 15 Minutes Play
- Christmas Mats - to match the table runner
- Prayer Flags - just joined the Prayer Flag Project see my side button
- Pieces for an exhibition in March
Waiting to be quilted
- New York Blooms - small wall hanging challenge with 15 Minutes Play
- Catastrophy - my Fractured quilt made with the Quilt Along - side bar button
- My Irish Girl - bed quilt Bonnie Hunter bargello style (see story below)
- Sandspit and Setters - remembering our setters favourite sandbar
Planned Quilts
- Grey gridlock - large quilt
- Ice Cream - large quilt
- Yellow Diamonds - large quilt
- Blue Pot-Pourri - large throw size
- Lorna Doone - large quilt
- Misty Log Cabins - large quilt
- In the Mid-day Sun - throw size quilt - bright African style
- Snowball - not sure yet whether throw or bed size
- Kaleidoscope - probably full bed size
- Blazing Star - not sure of size yet
- Unlimited scrap quilts
I also found six bundles of fabrics all packed ready for future quilts which I would like to make.
Other projects planned
- A number of pieced cushions
- Two sewing machine covers
- Two pieced table covers one very large, one small
So, there is my list and as I sew my nine patch pieces this afternoon I will no doubt thing of other things I could have added. The above will barely make a dent in my fabric stash I fear and my pledge for six months of not buying fabric could actually stretch to not buying any more fabric ever!!!!!
My Irish Girl came about two years ago as my Irish Setter Mollie was losing her battle with metastatic cancer. I love watermelon colours and had ordered two Watermelon Bali Pops. The day of my birthday 2011 I knew that I would have to take that final decision for her and so the next day the vet came along to our home, I think you can imagine how heartbroken I was. The mailman came as I was sitting waiting with Mollie in the morning and the Watermelon batiks were delivered. The decision was easy for me to make a quilt for my Irish girl.
No quilt pics today but I will be posting my MATO on the weekend and then linking with Sharon and Jess.
Just going to finish up with a view of the most glorious sunset yesterday evening
Happy Quilting
Maureen

WOW--you do have quite a list--so do I--I tried to do a "Fabric Diet" last year and failed immediately; but I am pledged to finish my UFO's before starting any new projects--distressing as this seems to me right now. (LOL)
My achey right shoulder is keeping me from my hexagon handwork and any hand quilting...Aleve here I come...
the only diet I am sticking to right now is my Atkins --lost 22 lbs...and holding; on a plateau right now but forging ahead...hugs and best wishes Julierose
So sorry for your loss of Mollie. We too had a Mollie, she was a Labrador Retreiver and she went visit the angels in 1999. She has a special spot along our new Photo Wall. It resides in our hallway!
Wow, this is an enormous list, I'm with you that I may never buy anything again. I'm really wanting to encourage new life in stash. I want to rid my stash of al the oldies from 3-5 decades ago. Its fine vintage fabric and its hard to mix it with the new stuff. So I wish you much luck!
Well I for one have faith that you can put a Great Dent in this amazing list! We can do it!!!
wow.....what a sunset. You're inspiring me to do some quilting x
what a beautiful sunset! that's a great way to end off such a list. =) we all have lengthy lists, which is why we're joining in the fast, right?! can't let it get any longer. so many quilts, so little time. good luck!
